Two kinds of iPad screens

  • Glass and display separateStandard iPad and older models. If only the glass is cracked and the picture is fine, the glass can often be replaced on its own.
  • Glass and display fusediPad Air, iPad Pro and iPad mini. The glass and display are one part, so a crack means replacing the whole screen.
